| ISRO launches 10 satellites on single day | 29.04.2008 |

ISRO, Indias premier space research organisation put 2 Indian satellites and 8 foreign nanosatellities into orbit yesterday.The rocket PSLV-C9 (polar satellite launch vehicle) carried a payload of 820 kg making it the worlds biggest satellite mission. The succesful launch is expected to fuel interest in nano satellites launch. Nano satellites charecterised by a cubical shape and a weight between 0- 10 kgs can revolutionise scientific investigation of key physical processes. With this sucess Antrix Corporation Ltd, the corporate arm of ISRO hopes for a larger share of the billion US $ satellite launch market.
