Siemens has acquired land at Aurangabad to put up a new plant to manufacture engineering goods defined as rolling stock.
Mid 2009, they intend to start off with manufacture of metro coaches. The initial outlay for the factory is expected to be around Rs 5000 million. Incidentally Siemens has two facililities at Aurangabad one for high voltage and the other for low voltage switchgear. Business Line , 4 th July 2008
