Lapp group currently supplies cables to India from its German facility. Lapp Group intends to invest an additional amount of Rs 380 million to expand the manufacturing facility at its subsidiary Lapp India Pvt Ltd. The company has identified the Petrochemicals Industry in India as a growth area. Special products for the petrochemicals centre can then be produced here after the expansion is complete. The group also intends to produce connectors in India both for the domestic market and for Germany. The Lapp group expects the expansion to contribute in taking the current turnover from euro 1 billion to euro 3 billion in the next few years. Hindu Business Line, June 28,2008
